BalanceTrail is offered under the BalanceTrail Software brand by Jamaica Natural, LLC.

What this policy covers

This policy describes information handled through the BalanceTrail marketing site, direct purchase/download flow, support forms, and done-for-you setup or migration process at balancetrail.app. Member or financial data stored inside a customer's normal self-hosted BalanceTrail installation remains on infrastructure controlled by that customer or organization.

Information we receive

When you purchase BalanceTrail through PayPal, we may receive and store information needed to fulfill and support the transaction, such as PayPal order and capture identifiers, purchaser email address, transaction amount, currency, and transaction time.

If you use our contact or setup-review forms, we receive the information you submit. A setup-review request may include organization name, contact information, approximate member count, the type of system currently used, categories of records maintained, the service of interest, and the description you provide. Our hosting provider may also create standard technical logs for security and operational purposes.

Migration records

If you later choose to provide records for a paid setup or migration project, we use those records to review, prepare, migrate, validate, reconcile, or support the agreed implementation. Customers should provide only records they are authorized to share and should avoid sending passwords, payment-card details, or unrelated sensitive information.

Source files and working migration copies may be retained for the period reasonably necessary to complete and support the project, then deleted or returned according to the project's needs and any legal or operational retention requirements. The customer's completed self-hosted BalanceTrail database remains under the customer's control.

Payment information

PayPal processes direct software checkout payments. BalanceTrail does not receive or store your full debit or credit card number or CVV. PayPal may use cookies or similar technologies in its checkout experience under PayPal's own privacy practices. Payment arrangements for quoted services will be identified in the applicable quote or invoice.

How we use information

We use purchase, contact, and service information to process and verify orders, deliver software, review setup requests, perform agreed migration or implementation work, recover download access, provide support, prevent abuse or fraud, maintain transaction records, and operate the BalanceTrail website.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information may be handled by service providers necessary to operate the site and fulfill purchases or services, such as PayPal, our hosting provider, and email infrastructure, or disclosed when required by law.

Retention and security

Purchase, support, service, and migration records may be retained as reasonably necessary for order fulfillment, project completion, support, accounting, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, and legal obligations. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
